Tulbagh is 120 km North West of Cape Town, hidden within the beautiful Breede River valley, below the peak of the Groot Winterhoek Mountain, the start of the mighty Cedarburg range. Tulbagh is also the start of the famous Route 62, which stretches 160 km through the valley to Montague, and then on through the Karoo to Oudtshoorn.

The Tulbagh Wine Route has become both a popular and prominent attraction in the valley and is an important part of the Cape Winelands, and our fifteen estates are regular reciprocates of awards from around the world. Although many cultivars are grown here, we are in ‘Shiraz country,’ and the plethora of award-winning wine estates testify to the merit of this term. A visit to Tulbagh is not complete without experiencing the fine wine estates of Twee Jonge Gezellen and Saronsburg. Today, Tulbagh has become a favourite destination of those seeking fine wines, a laidback lifestyle and spectacular tranquillity.
